About Header_Who We Are

OUR MOVEMENT

Eastside is a five-year-old United Methodist church on the east side of metro Atlanta. We gather for worship each Sunday morning at 10AM in our 100 year old historic sanctuary located in an eclectic, urban, neighborhood named East Atlanta.

Our growing church is a resurrection movement of people living across metro Atlanta’s east side. Our congregation is made up primarily of residents on the Eastside of Atlanta, but many people drive in from all over the city. We consist of new Christians, spiritual seekers, doubters, cradle Believers and many who have felt ostracized by the church for a variety of reasons.

At Eastside Church we believe everyone has a seat at the Table regardless of their political affiliation, race, gender, sexual orientation, religious baggage, socioeconomic status, or where they find themselves on their journey with God. People of all sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome, included and integrated in the life of our church.

OUR LEADERSHIP

Our leadership embraces a progressive orthodoxy, a historic yet modern approach to worship, and the shared belief that we, in consonance with the earliest communities called Christian, are actually tasked to be a blessing to the world.
