Ways to Connect, Grow, & Serve Together
TICOLETTE SHOE DRIVE // Starting this Sunday, August 10th, through the Haiti Gallery night on September 6th, we will be collecting new and very gently used shoes for school children in Ticolette // They’ve requested sneakers/tennis shoes as they help protect kids’ feet // All children’s & youth sizes needed // This is a great way to get kids involved in justice // Talk to Daphne Fowler with questions.
CHURCH SWAP with OUR NEIGHBORS // Sunday, August 24th from 9:30-12:15 // A chance to worship with our neighbors at Berea Mennonite Church // We’ve invited them to attend church with us at 9:30am and anyone who’s interested can attend their 11am service // People are invited to carpool over after our 9:30 service // Email [email protected] with questions.
SERVING DINNER AT HAGAR’S HOUSE // August 31st from 6-8 pm // One of the ways we practice resurrection is by providing food for those in need // We need people to prepare & serve food // Visit http://eastsideatl.org/news/serving-at-dcm/ for more info.
HAITI GALLERY NIGHT // Saturday, September 6th from 5-7 pm // Come out to experience La Gonave and see photos, hear music and interviews, and other inspired artwork // Artists are welcome to contribute // The gallery night will be the last chance to donate shoes for the school children of Ticolette // Email [email protected] with questions.
EASTSIDE ART WORKSHOP – SOUND + MOVEMENT // Sunday, September 14th, from 1:00– 3:30PM at the church // Join the Eastside Arts Ministry at our inaugural workshop event where we will explore some fun collaboration with sound and movement // Our own Timothy Hand will be leading the workshop // This event is open to the public and is kid friendly!
SUNDAY FEEDING MINISTRY // We need IMMEDIATE help with hosting and cooking for our feeding ministry on Sundays // Sign-up to help on Volunteer Spot
IMMEDIATE WAYS TO SERVE AT EASTSIDE // With our new space & continued growth, we need lots more volunteers for our Sunday morning worship services // We need immediate help with: Communion set up at 9:30am and Info Table // Contact [email protected] if you’re willing and able to serve.
