HOMELESS CENSUS // Night of January 27th // Come out and volunteer with other Eastside folks in the 2014 Metro Atlanta Homeless Census! // You have the opportunity to count & survey homeless persons in DeKalb & Fulton counties (training is provided that evening). This is important for our community getting the funding it needs and is a way to learn more about homelessness in our city. GRAD GRADUATE MINISTRY LAUNCHING // January 30th from 5:30-7:30 at Manuel’s Tavern // GRAD: Progressive Graduate Ministry is a new graduate student ministry launching in Spring 2014 at Emory University. GRAD will work to connect graduate students at Emory to each other and to existing faith communities to foster growth in expressing and acting upon what we believe and why. We are excited to offer this ministry as a way to partner with and help connect graduate students to 3 local churches: Eastside Church, Druid Hills UMC, and The Gathering at Glenn Memorial UMC. EASTSIDE ART EXHIBITION // Friday, January 31st any time between 7:00PM & 9:00PM // This show’s title is “Want & Wealth” where artists both inside and outside the congregation will present works inspired by these two themes, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, interactive installations, & performances. Make it a point to drop by any time in order to walk through the gallery exhibition in celebration of our local artists.”
