What’s Happening This Week – June 23rd, 2013
Join us next Sunday at 11am as we continue our Upside Down Kingdom series. This series explores Jesus’ teaching on the Sermon on the Mount. Our Lead Pastor, Timothy Lloyd will look at Matthew 6:1-8, 16-18 and Jesus’ teaching about piety. Don’t forget that if you’ve missed any sermons, you can catch up with our podcasts or sermon videos.
Weekly Prayer/Running Group // Fridays at 6:30 a.m. // Days/times flexible depending on interest // We will meet outside the church for a prayer followed by a light jog through the neighborhood // Email Justin Barnes for more info [email protected].
Pre-service prayer – 10am every Sunday before church we have an informal time of prayer in the prayer corner. This is a time when we intentionally pray for the church, its growth, and existence. Consider joining in this time of prayer for the church and centering before worship.
Growth groups (small groups) are the way we connect more intimately with each other at Eastside. If you’re interested in learning more about joining a Growth Group please contact Trent Lloyd – [email protected].

Special thanks to everyone who helped with and attended Kingdom Rock Summer Camp! It was a great week with the kids! // We had 30 campers (11 families from within the church / 8 families from the community) 22 Volunteers (donations / set up & prep / teacher & leaders) + all 4 church staff // Be sure to thank Whitney for all her hard work!

We always need help on Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30 to clean the church in preparation for worship. There is a sign up sheet at the information table for those able to contribute. This is an easy way to serve as well as to get connected with others in the church.
Invite your friends // The number one reason people come to a new church is because someone invites them. Consider telling a neighbor, friend, family member, or co-worker why you love Eastside & invite them to worship with you this coming week!
